Asking For Postponement Of Call For Examination, PKB Calls Cak Imin Has Sent A Letter To The KPK
JAKARTA - The National Awakening Party (PKB) revealed that the General Chairperson of Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin had sent a letter to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the request for a postponement of today's summons. The candidate for vice president (cawapres) Anies Baswedan is scheduled to provide information regarding the alleged corruption case in the procurement of the Indonesian Manpower Protection System (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker), Tuesday, September 5. This was said by the Deputy Chairperson of PKB Jazilul Fawaid when confirmed, Tuesday, September 5.
"Gus Imin has sent a letter to reschedule," said Jazilul.
The deputy chairman of the MPR explained that Cak Imin was attending an agenda that had long been scheduled as the leader of the DPR RI. "Because today he attended the old agenda, as deputy chairman of the DPR RI, he opened the Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) International JQHU in Tanah Laut South Kalimantan," said Jazilul. Previously, Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin admitted that he had received a summons from investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The vice presidential candidate (cawapres) accompanying Anies Baswedan was also willing to come to the Merah Putih building for questioning. "I have received a summons. Actually, I want to come," said Cak Imin, as quoted on Najwa Shihab's Youtube account which aired on Monday, September 4, evening.
However, Cak Imin admitted that he could not fulfill the KPK's invitation because he had to attend the opening ceremony of the International Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan as Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Cak Imin explained that he could not leave the event because it had been scheduled for a long time. Therefore, Cak Imin asked the KPK to postpone the examination of him today.
"I have been scheduled by Jami'atul Quro's friends, wal Huffadz (JQH), the organization of hafiz and qori Quran NU, so I have been scheduled for a long time to open the MTQ International forum from many countries, as deputy chairman of the DPR I have to open it, so I might ask to postpone it," explained Cak Imin.
