Meet The 1 Kg Marijuana Package Destination Jakarta, Lion Parcel Report Police
JAKARTA - RP alias Rahmat (20) a student at a private university in Central Jakarta was forced to deal with the Tambora Police Criminal Investigation Unit. He was arrested for buying 1 kilogram of dried marijuana packages through his Instagram account.
"The perpetrator is a technical faculty student. He is in the final semester. The motive for buying marijuana is for personal use and seeking profit through re-sales in the form of small packages," said Tambora Police Chief Kompol Putra Pratama when contacted by VOI, Monday, September 4.
In each sale of a small package of marijuana per kilograms, the perpetrators get a profit of IDR 2 million. The proceeds from the illicit business are used by the perpetrators for their daily living expenses.
"RP alias Rahmat (20) was arrested on Saturday, September 2 at his home located in Cakung District, East Jakarta," he said.
The disclosure of this case began when the suspect bought Rp6 million worth of marijuana via Instagram from an account called Echsan. Payments were made via transfer on Thursday, August 31.
The marijuana shipment was sent from Medan via Lion Parcel (appearably in the photo of evidence-ed). On Saturday morning, the package arrived in Jakarta. The delivery of the marijuana package was known by the delivery service containing narcotics suspected of being marijuana.

"Then the delivery service reported this finding to the Tambora Police. The Tambora Police followed up on this finding by making controlled shipments or Control Delivery to the address of the recipient," he said.
Furthermore, the police arrested the perpetrator Rahmat at his home. Meanwhile, the police are still hunting for a cannabis supplier from Medan.
"We confiscated evidence of a package of dried marijuana leaves weighing 1.2 kg as evidence," he said.
Meanwhile, the suspect admitted that he had been selling marijuana since 2022. This is the first time he has bought marijuana via Instagram.
"The marijuana that was previously sold, he bought from another dealer who is currently still being chased," he said.
As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) Sub-Article 111 paragraph (1) of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of imprisonment for a minimum of five years and a maximum of 20 years.
