The Commotion Between Residents And Eastern Youth Groups In Cengkareng Is Completed Through Deliberation

Residents' clashes with a group of youths from the east in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta, finally gradually came to be safe after West Jakarta Metro Police personnel and Cengkareng Police were able to reduce the commotion.

Police officers mediated between the two warring camps. The process is carried out so that the situation is safe again and does not spread.

"Then a meeting was held between representatives of the management and residents of RW 07, Kedaung Kaliangke Village and representatives of the management along with residents of RW 010 Kapuk Village," said Cengkareng Police Chief Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang to VOI, Thursday, August 31.

During the meeting, both parties agreed to resolve the issue by deliberation. If there is a problem with residents, the RT and RW devices will resolve through consensus.

"If it cannot be resolved by deliberation and consensus, it will be handed over to law enforcement officials. The current situation is safe and conducive," he said.

Even so, it is not yet known in detail regarding the presence of victims or material losses due to the commotion between the two groups of masses. Meanwhile, the case is being handled by the Cengkareng Police.

Previously, it was reported that clashes between residents and a group of youths from the east in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta, began when there was an action of beating one person to spread to other groups.

The Head of Cengkareng Police, Kompol Hasoloan Situmorang, explained that the incident began when a resident of RW 10 Kapuk Village with the initials S was walking after returning from work.

When crossing Jalan Pinggir Kali Apuran, S then met a man with the initials P, a resident of RW 06, Kedaung Village, Kaliangke.

"Then there was a misunderstanding, P hit S. Because of this incident, S informed his friends and then tried to find P," said Commissioner Hasoloan to VOI, Thursday, August 31.
