Closed East Jakarta City Government Because Considered Air Pollution, Batok Charcoal Entrepreneurs Ask Factory In Pulogadung To Also Close
JAKARTA - Dian, as the owner of the land and manager of charcoal burning in the Lubang Buaya area, Cipayung, East Jakarta, feels that he is under pressure from the policy of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to close its business.
This is because the policies issued by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government seem to be one-sided without thinking about the livelihoods of the residents.
"Because of what? In particular, the government does not pay attention to policies. I also understand the issue of rising air pollution in Jakarta. But basically, air pollution is not only caused by burning charcoal batok, there are still many large factories, have they been closed?" Dian asked the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
In fact, the policy of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through the East Jakarta City Government is considered to be still selective. The policy of closing the production that emits smoke is not evenly applied in large factories in the Pulogadung Industrial area, East Jakarta.
"This charcoal maker has been operating for about 6 to 7 years. There used to be no problem, now why suddenly there is a problem. As the owner of the land and the manager of charcoal burning there, I feel tyrannized by the DKI Provincial Government," said Dian.

If the closure policy is a step to reduce air pollution, Dian asks all factories that emit black smoke to be dealt with firmly to be fair.
"If you want all of them, all of them are total. Don't raise these small people, you are told to close them. Is there a solution from the provincial government to provide a solution for us? That's right," he complained.
Meanwhile, Andi Lukman, the owner of the home-class charcoal batok industry, also expressed his disappointment with the East Jakarta City Government (East Jakarta City Government). He was upset, and considered the East Jakarta City Government to be unprofessional when closing his business.
According to Andi, the policy implemented by the East Jakarta City Government only creates new problems because it eliminates the search for residents without any solution.
