The National Police Imposes Demotion Sanctions On Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte
JAKARTA - The National Police's Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) has finished carrying out an ethics trial against Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte, and imposed sanctions for ethical violations in the form of administrative transfers which are demotional for three years and four months.
"Administrative sanctions in the form of demotion mutations for three years and four months have been calculated since being transferred to the Itwasum Polri," said Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan reading the KKEP ethics trial decision against Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 28.
In addition to the sanctions of demotion, KKEP also stated the actions of Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte as a disgraceful act and required violators to verbally apologize before the KKEP trial and or in writing to the leadership of the Police and the injured party.
Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparta was declared to have violated the provisions of Article 13 paragraph (1) of Government Regulation (PP) Number 1 of 2003 concerning the dismissal of members of the National Police in conjunction with Article 7 paragraph (1) letter b, Article 7 paragraph (1) letter c, Article 13 paragraph (1) letter e and Article 13 paragraph (2) letter a of the National Police Regulation (Perkap) Number 14 of 2011 concerning the Police Professional Code of Ethics.
"The act of violators has committed a criminal act of corruption related to the issuance of the issuance of the Red Notice Interpol on behalf of JST and for its actions against the alleged violator based on the Supreme Court's decision to be sentenced to imprisonment for four years has permanent legal force," said Ramadhan.
The KKEP trial against Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparta was held Monday (28/8) morning in the courtroom of the National Police Propam Division of the TNCC Latai 1 Police Headquarters.

The KKEP trial was led by Komjen Ahmad Dofiri as chairman of the commission, Inspector General Imam Widodo as deputy chairman, Inspector General Syahardiantono as member I, Inspector General Hendro Pandowo as member II and Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto as member III.
The ethics trial presented 10 witnesses, including five witnesses who were present at the trial, three witnesses gave statements through a zoom meeting and two witnesses were read out for their statements.
The five witnesses who were present in the courtroom were Kompol SMN, Kompol AAA, Ipda AAGPA, Brigadier General JF, and MST coach.
Then three witnesses were present online, namely Brigadier General TAD, Kombes BIMO and the initials JST. Meanwhile, two witnesses whose statements were read out, namely Brigadier General Pol. NSW and the initials HTS.
Ramadhan said the decision on the KKEP trial had been completed, and Napoleon Bonaparte's side stated that they accepted the decision and did not file an appeal.
"Brother NB (Napoleon Bonaparte) accepted the decision given and declared no appeal," said Ramadhan.
In early August 2023 Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte was officially released from prison, after serving four years in prison for the crime of money laundering (TPPU) in the bribery case for removing the interpolred notice on behalf of Djoko Tjandra.
The former Head of the Hubinter Police Division was proven to have received bribes from Djoko Tjandra worth 200 thousand Singapore dollars or around Rp. 2.1 billion and US$ 370 thousand or around Rp. 5.1 billion.
