JAKARTA - The choir group The Resonanz Children Choir (TRCC) has again made achievements in the international arena and made Indonesia proud.
This time they won the overall winner or Grand Prix at the Leonardo Da fire International Choral Festival Choir Competition in Florence City, Italy.
The achievement of TRC this time is even more special because the members who competed were a new generation and previously did online training.
"This is the first time this force has participated in competitions abroad. We are all grateful that thanks to the extraordinary hard work and enthusiasm, with all the challenges that exist, these children can still provide maximum results," said TRC Artistic Director Avip Priatna, quoted by Antara, Sunday.
The international choir competition Leonardo da fireball International Choral Festival is an annual choir competition in the city of Florence, Italy, which this year entered its fifth edition.

The event took place since July 11 and reached the peak of the event on July 14, 2023.
In addition to becoming the overall champion (Grand Prix), TRC also won category D (Children's Choir) with a score of 94.3 and category winners G (Popular, Folk, Gospel, Barbershop, Jazz, and Modern Ensemble) with a score of 95.5.
TRC also received awards as a choir with the best choreography.
The group, which is fronted by 51 singers aged 8 - 16 years, was trained by a team of coaches and conductors consisting of Luciana Dharmadi Oendoen, Rainier Revireino and David Hartono Chendra, with directions from artistic director Avip Priatna.
In category D (Children's choir), TRC looked stunning to the audience with three free-korted songs, namely "Mejikuhibiniu", a song created specifically for children's coor, by Indonesian composer Fero Aldiansya Stefanus, the song "Der PSalm 23" by Austrian composer Franz Schubert, and the Spanish composer David Azurza's song "Habanerak's "Ihauteri".
In this category, TRC is led by conductor Luciana Dharmadi Oendoen.
Meanwhile, in the category G (Popular, Folk, Gospel, Barbershop, Jazz, and Modern Ensemble) TRC features the song "Guapparia" a song by Libero Bovio which was popularized by Italian singer Mario Merola.
The song was specially arranged for TRC by Vatara A. Silalahi.
In addition to the song, TRC performed the song "Steal Away" an Afro-American Spiritual song arranged for a similar choir by American composer Gwyneth Walker.
The song is one of several songs accompanied by a piano by actor Daniel Adipradhana.
TRC performed a traditional Indonesian song from Minang entitled "Tak Tong" which was arranged by Fero Aldiansya Stefanus.
In a costume-inspired costume from Minang traditional clothes, TRC appears led by Rainier Revireino conductor.
After competing in both categories, TRC was selected as one of the participants who advanced to the Grand Prix round to compete to compete with six other choir groups.
TRC features two songs at the grand prix event "Gnothi Safton" a Greek song by American composer Jim Populis, and a song that is the original work for the children's choir, from the composer Fero Aldiansya Stefanus entitled "137 Hip Street".
"Hopefully in the future this new force can also continue the tradition of TRC, which is always to carry the fragrance of Indonesia's name in the international arena," Avip concluded.
