Elon Musk Asks For Personal Approval For New Employee Recruitment At Tesla
JAKARTA - Tesla Inc CEO Elon Musk has stated that the company cannot recruit new employees unless he personally approves it. This includes contractors. This is known according to an email copy seen by Reuters.
In the email, Musk asked executives to send him a weekly list of recruitment requests, while also warning them to " think carefully" before submitting the request.
"No one can join Tesla, not even as a contractor, unless you receive my email approval," Musk said in an email on Monday, May 15.
Last month, the company reported its lowest quarterly gross margin in two years, missing market forecasts, as it cut prices aggressively in markets, including in the United States and China, to push demand and fight growing competition.
