Above Pinition, Jokowi And ASEAN Leaders Enjoy Labuan Bajo Sunset
NTB - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invites ASEAN leaders to enjoy sunsets or sun sinking from the Pinisi ship in the waters of Labuan Bajo Port, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Wednesday, May 10 afternoon.
This activity was carried out by Jokowi after a series of plenary sessions and the meeting of the 42nd ASEAN Summit on Wednesday was completed.
Jokowi initially waited for the ASEAN leader's entourage with their companions to arrive at the Meruorah Hotel before their car left for Marina Labuan Bajo's dock for the phinisi ship to be boarded.
At around 16.51 WITA, the convoy of ASEAN leaders arrived at Marina Labuan Bajo pier, led by President Jokowi's car with First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo.
President Jokowi and First Lady Iriana then immediately boarded the deck of the phinisi ship prepared to enjoy the sunset atmosphere, followed by the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Hassanal Bolkiah who arrived accompanied by Prince 'Abdul Mateen.
After that, one by one, the ASEAN leaders took turns up to the phinisi ship's deck.
On the deck of the phinisi ship, chairs have been arranged to circle the table as a place for ASEAN leaders and their companions to chat for the evening.
President Jokowi and First Lady sit on the middle seat of the deck, right in contact with the main post of the phinisi ship's sailing.
Then clockwise, sitting around the table were Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim with his companion, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. along with his companion, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong with his companion, and Timorese Prime Minister Leste Taur Matan Ruak with his companion.
Furthermore, Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand Don Don Pramudwinai, Prime Minister of Laos Sonexay S▁putradone with his companion, Sultan Hasanal Bolkiah with Prince 'Abdul Maeteen, Vietnamese PM Pham Minh Chinh, and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen who are right next to President Jokowi complete the circle configuration.
After the media crew took photos of the atmosphere of ASEAN leaders and companions chatting were welcome to come down, at around 17.00 WITA, the phinisi ship sailed more into the middle of the waters of Labuan Bajo Port to give ASEAN leaders the opportunity to enjoy the sunset atmosphere.

The activity of enjoying the sunset is in line with President Jokowi's intention to make the 42nd ASEAN Summit a momentum to promote Labuan Bajo so that it is increasingly known to the world. This was conveyed by President Jokowi upon arrival at Komodo Airport, Labuan Bajo, last Sunday (7/5).
"This is a very good momentum for us to hold an ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo to market Labuan Bajo, so that all the world knows that there is a Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara," said Jokowi.
