Dito Mahendra Has The Opportunity To Be A Suspect In The Money Laundering Case Of Former Supreme Court Secretary Nurhadi

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) opens the opportunity to determine businessman Dito Mahendra as a suspect in the alleged money laundering crime (TPPU) that ensnared the Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA) Nurhadi. The lover of the artist Nindy Ayunda is currently investigating his role in the alleged crime. "There is also an opportunity for him to be named a suspect together with the NHD as long as his evidence can be fulfilled," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Monday, April 17. Even so, Ali said that the KPK would not rashly establish Dito as a suspect. The investigation process of alleged money laundering is still being carried out while coordinating with the Police. This coordination, continued Ali, was carried out because Dito was also dealing with the Bhayangkara Corps regarding the possession of illegal firearms. "The investigation of the TPPU case of the NHD suspect did not stop," he said. Previously, Dito has been summoned as a witness in the case of TPPU Nurhadi. It's just that, he only came once while the rest were absent. KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur said Dito's statement was needed because Nurhadi's belongings were in his hands. But, he did not want to detail the items. "We are looking for these items, now looking for them. If I mention the goods here, they are already missing," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur to reporters, Thursday, March 30.

For information, the alleged money laundering committed by Nurhadi is not the first case handled by the KPK. The former Secretary of the Supreme Court has been sentenced to be found guilty in a bribery and gratuity case with his son-in-law, Rezky Herbiyono. Both of them are currently serving a sentence at the Sukamiskin Correctional Institution (Lapas) for six years. They are required to pay a fine of Rp. 500 million, provided that if they are not paid, they will be replaced with imprisonment for three months.
