Kai Rooney, Future Asset of Manchester United
JAKARTA Manchester United seems to be just waiting a few more years to welcome their new asset. The asset is the son of club legend Wayne Rooney, Kai.
Kai, who is currently 13 years old, is dubbed "the future of Manchester United" after he shared his photos while appearing with the club's youth team.
Currently Rooney Jr plays for the United U-13 team. His potential makes fans optimistic that Kai can become the next major player of the Red Devils.
"The future," said a supporter as reported by The Sun.
Some people have even started comparing their abilities with their father. Especially when he controls the ball with the chest, one of the typical abilities his father Rooney has.
"No need for a DNA test! You are Rooney's son! Controlling the ball with your chest is very much like Wazza (Rooney's nickname)," commented another.
"Keep growing son. United is waiting for you," commented another.
Rooney spent 13 incredible seasons with Manchester United. During that period he won five English Premier League titles and one European Champions League.
Kai himself hopes to follow in his father's footsteps, especially after he lifted the U-13 North National Cup trophy earlier this year. He also wants to play for United's first team in the next ten years.
"But I have to make it happen with hard work," he said.
As for who his biggest inspiration was, he added, "I know it's a little boring, but maybe my dad, because he has helped me through hard times and taught me a lot about the game."
