Elpiji Theft Specialist Group In Cirebon Arrested And 562 Tubes Confiscated

CIREBON - Cirebon City Police (Polresta), West Java, arrested two perpetrators of theft, gas cylinder specialists, and has acted more than five times with evidence of 562 LPG. "There are three perpetrators, two have been arrested and one is still being chased," said Cirebon Police Chief Kombes Pol Arif Budiman, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 6. Arif said the suspect arrested was with the initials HN and GN, both of whom were residents of Cirebon Regency, while those who were still being chased had the initials W. According to him, the three suspects were indeed perpetrators of theft of gas cylinder specialists, of which they had committed crimes in five different locations located in Cirebon Regency. He explained that the suspect first conducted a location survey in the afternoon and evening, then in the evening he acted by breaking into a shop or gas base. "The suspect carried out a survey of the location of the place that was targeted from noon to evening and at night in action," he said. Arif added that the suspect was also a recidivist of the same case, and had only been out of the iron bars for two years. Officers also shot the legs of the two suspects for trying to fight when they were about to be arrested.

He said that from the hands of the perpetrators, his party confiscated a number of evidences including 562 gas cylinders measuring 3 kilograms, tools used such as crowbars, lock unlocks and others. "As a result of his actions, the two suspects were threatened with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of nine years," he said.
