Reminding To Expand Health Facilities At IKN, Commission IX: Thousands Of Workers Arrive
JAKARTA - Commission IX of the Indonesian Parliament visited the Capital City of the Nusantara (IKN) to ensure the preparation of facilities and infrastructure for the construction of health facilities.
"The health aspect must be ensured, especially for the thousands of workers who will build the IKN later," Deputy Chairperson of Commission IX DPR RI Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena said in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday, February 3, as reported by Antara.
Preparations for the development of IKN are continuing, one of which is in the health aspect which has an important role in supporting its development.
Therefore, said Melkiades, the preparation of health facilities must receive serious support, starting from health workers, clinics, to other health facilities.
"There must be support that is really serious from now on, where the health workers needed include the facilities needed both from the clinics needed in the private sector and the public health centers, regional hospitals, which must be optimized," he said.
So, he added, it could provide support for the health aspect of all workers in charge of building the IKN.
"Many thousands of workers have come to the IKN. Adequate health workers are needed. If there is only one public health center here, one doctor now, of course, we need more than that," he said.
Nearby regional hospitals should be supported so they can support the health sector from now onwards. It is also hoped that this will be optimal for health services in IKN and its surroundings.
Melkiades said that according to the Ministry of Health's commitment, support for health human resources (HR) in cities, districts, and provinces around the IKN will gradually continue to be supported.
Thus, the burden of arriving people with various health consequences can be handled properly with adequate health personnel.
DPR Commission IX also hopes for a commitment from all medical partners and local government officials to accelerate health development in the IKN.
