150 Joint Personnel Conduct Search, But 2 Orphanage Children Missing In Ciliwung River Haven't Been Found
JAKARTA - The joint SAR team admitted that there was a problem with garbage when searching for a boy from the Siti Khadijah Al Kubra Orphanage with the initials BP because he was carried away by the current in the Ciliwung River on Sunday afternoon, January 15 at around 17.15 WIB.
Kasiops and Jakarta Basarnas Alert, Agung Priambodo explained, his party continues to decompose waste in several locations where bodies are suspected to have been washed away.
"We need to disassemble the trash because it is a place where victims are suspected," said Agung.
Agung added, until now his party had not found BP's body, after the victim's older brother, 11-year-old SR was evacuated to the Kedung Gede area, Jagakarsa on Tuesday, January 17, at 05.30 WIB.
Until now, his party has continued to deploy a team of 150 joint personnel consisting of the Jagakarsa Police, the SAR team Brimob PMJ, Sabhara Polda PMJ, firefighters, BPBD, Basarnas and a number of volunteers.
"Today a sweep was carried out divided into two teams, namely in Kalibata and from Kalibata to Manggarai," he added.
According to Agung, the sweeping distance was approximately 30 kilometers which was carried out from morning to evening.
His party emphasized that they would continue to try to carry out searches by prioritizing the safety of the joint team and volunteers.

Previously, the Jagakarsa Sector Police (Polsek) together with the SAR team helped search for two boys from the Siti Khadijah Al Kubra Orphanage who were swept away by the Ciliwung River on Sunday, January 15 at around 17.15 WIB.
"Since last Sunday we have checked the TKP reports that there are siblings living at the Siti Khadijah Al Kubra Orphanage on Harapan Street RT 01/08 Lenteng Agung, Jagakarsa," said Jagakarsa Police Chief Multazam Lisendra.
The two children from the orphanage with the initials SR, aged 11 and BP, were eight years old, who at that time invited four witnesses to bathe in the Ciliwung River.
