Synopsis Of The Heavenly Idol, Starring Kim Min Gue, A K-Pop Singer Who Is Possessed By A Priest

JAKARTA - The new fantasy romance series The Heavenly Idol will premiere on February 15, 2023 in South Korea. This Korean drama stars actors Kim Min Gue and Go Bo Gyeol.

Quoted from The Korea Times, this series was adapted based on a web novel with the same title. The Heavenly Idol is about K-pop singer Woo Yeon-woo (Kim Min Gue), who is possessed by a priest named Lembrary from a fictional world.

Lembrary was a being of the highest rank in another world and possessed divine power. One day, he wakes up in the body of Yeon-woo, who is a member of a struggling and not very popular boy idol group, in a completely different world.

With the help of the group's manager, Kim Dal (Go Bo Gyeol), Lembrary struggles to get used to the cutthroat world of K-pop while trying to find his way back to the world he came from.

Actor Lee Jang-woo will also star in the series as the antagonist, Lumena, who is a demon in a fictional world.

The series is directed by Park So-yeon, who previously took part in drama series Graceful Friends, and thriller series Undercover, while the script is penned by newcomer Lee Chun-guem.

Kim Min Gue made his debut in 2013 through a minor role in the series Monstar. She gained immense popularity after playing a supporting role in the hit romantic comedy series Business Proposal last year. He later won the Excellence Award at the SBS year-end Drama Awards.
