Earlier on Wednesday morning US time, some users in the US faced problems accessing the shopping site Amazon.com. About 12.000 users reported issues as of 10 a.m. ET, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by compiling status reports from a number of sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.
Amazon shares fell slightly amid a broader sell-off in the stock market. For some technology companies, the problem of blackouts is indeed a very big issue. Especially for Amazon, which relies on online sales every second.
