This Is What Mbappe Says About The Champions League And His Relationship With Neymar

JAKARTA - Kylian Mbappe joined coach Christophe Galtier at a press conference ahead of the match between PSG and Juventus in the Champions League.

The French national team striker emphasized that playing in Europe's most prestigious competition must perform well from the start.

"This match is important for a club like ours. We want to start well in Europe at home. It's up to us to play a good game tomorrow to continue this good run," he said, quoted by Marca, Tuesday, September 6.

"My role hasn't changed since last season. I'm still trying to play well, be decisive and win as many titles as possible."

Meanwhile, regarding his relationship with Neymar, Mbappe gave a slightly unique response.

"This is our sixth year together," he said. "We had a period of being good friends, and the rest (we) rarely spoke."

However, he explained in detail about who should be the first-choice penalty taker at PSG.

"When you play with players of the caliber we have you have to learn to share," he said.

"Being named the main [penalty] taker doesn't mean I have to take all the penalties."
