When Ferdy Sambo Questioned His Morality When Filed An Appeal After Being Fired By The Police

JAKARTA - The suspect in the premeditated murder of Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J, Ferdy Sambo, has filed an appeal regarding the decision of the ethics trial which dismissed him dishonorably from the Police.

The appeal was conveyed by Ferdy Sambo after the decision on his dismissal was read by the Professional Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP) at the TNCC Building at the South Jakarta Police Headquarters, Friday, August 26, early in the morning.

"Please allow the Chairperson of KKEP, how do we convey it in the trial process, we admit all our actions and regret all the actions we have done to the Polri institution," said Sambo.

"But we ask for permission in accordance with Article 69 of PP No. 72 of 2022, allow us to file an appeal," he continued.

Ferdy Sambo's appeal was also in the spotlight. The reason is that it is clear that the two-star general has committed a serious violation.

The council considered that Sambo's appeal would be in vain even though it was his right. However, not a few questions Ferdy Sambo's morale.

Coordinator of Law Enforcement and Justice Advocates (TAMPAK), Saor Siagian, said that Ferdy Sambo was a premeditated murderer who distorted the facts of the incident. So it's strange, if he doesn't accept it because he was dishonorably dismissed by the Police.

"Ferdy Sambo is a suspect in a murder that was planned and scripted. We even heard that he resigned from the police force, because he felt he had disappointed the institution and was a disgrace to the institution," Saor said in a television broadcast on Sunday, August 28, evening.

"Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) then filed an appeal, where is the morale?," continued Saor.

Therefore, Saor, who had tried to report the Ferdy Sambo case to the House of Representatives Commission III, asked the public not to let the mystery of the murder that started to be open be not transparent.

"That's why I think we're trying to remind investigators, don't look too bright at first, but it seems like it's starting to be a little bit closed," he said.

Saor also asked Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Candrawati, to be arrested immediately. Because he has been named a suspect.

"If the reason is illness, not the reason for not being detained, the police will take them to the police hospital. Check for what illness," said Saor.

Commission III of the House of Representatives in charge of law and in partnership with the National Police also highlighted the appeal submitted by the former Head of the National Police Propam Division.

Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Habiburokhman, assessed that the KKEP's decision to fire Ferdy Sambo was correct. According to him, the decision to dismiss him with respect is a consequence that must be accepted by Ferdy Sambo after taking the lives of his own men.

"The verdict is correct. Because this is a serious violation and has caused the loss of people's lives," Habiburokhman told reporters, Friday, August 26.

The Gerindra legislator said the decision was also aggravated because Ferdy Sambo tried to eliminate evidence at the crime scene. As well as making a scenario in the premeditated murder of Brigadier J.

"What is even more burdensome is the effort to eliminate evidence by involving many members of the National Police," said the deputy chairman of the DPR MKD.

According to Habiburokhman, Ferdy Sambo's appeal would be futile. Because he said, there was no longer any mitigating reason in the case of Ferdy Sambo.

"I think it's useless for him (Ferdy Sambo) to appeal, I don't see any mitigating reasons for that (his case, ed)," said Habiburokhman.
