Ministry Of Manpower And Open University Collaborate To Produce High Quality Indonesian Human Resources
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and the Open University (UT) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at improving Indonesian human resources (HR) who are superior and have competence in various fields.
"Speaking of employment is how to prepare human resources who are competent in their fields and in accordance with the needs of the world of work," said Secretary-General of the Ministry of Manpower Anwar Sanusi in a written statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday, June 28.
Anwar said that the world of education is currently forced to change the conventional learning system to a more modern, dynamic, and inclusive direction without lowering the quality standards for the results that have been set.
The Open University, he said, as a pioneer campus that pioneered the distance learning system has a long history of more than three decades in producing quality and competitive human resources in the world of work that covers various fields.

During the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Manpower and the Open University in South Tangerang, Tuesday, Anwar explained that the purpose of the collaboration is to contribute to improving Indonesian human resources who are superior and have competence in various fields.
As a country with a very large number of migrant workers spread throughout the world, the government wants Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) when leaving for the placement country to have a high level of education.
"Of course, the state must be able to provide alternative education, so that PMI can feel how high education is," he said.
The Ministry of Manpower itself has conveyed to the placement country so that PMIs can be given the opportunity to study, and the model developed by the Open University is a model that can study at any time.
"The flexibility of learning time provided by the Open University is very good," said Anwar Sanusi.
