Convinced Toprak Can Be Very Fast In MotoGP, Quartararo: He Is A Very Talented Rider

JAKARTA - Yamaha racer Fabio Quartararo views World Superbike world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu as a great racer who has the potential to perform fast in MotoGP.

Razgatlioglu finally tested the Yamaha YZR-M1 with former MotoGP rider turned Yamaha test rider, Cal Crutchlow in Aragon this week.

However, since Yamaha will have only one team in MotoGP next season which will be led by Quartararo again, it looks like Razgatlioglu will spend another season at WSBK before getting a chance to go down in the highest caste of two-wheel racing.

"For me, he is a very talented rider. You can see from his riding style, how far he pushes the bike, I saw also the saves he made at Estoril in the last chicane", said Quartararo in Assen, the Netherlands, quoted from Antara, Friday.

"The way he rides the Yamaha at the limit, I think he has the potential to jump into MotoGP. For sure, it will be a different story from Superbike, I think he understands from the tests in Aragon that this is a stiffer bike, much more different to ride", he said.

"But for sure, if he is very motivated, he can really be in MotoGP, I think he will be a very fast rider."

Razgatlioglu is trying to defend his WSBK title and currently trails in third place in the standings behind Alvaro Bautista and Jonathan Rea.
