Indonesia Open 2022: Leo/Daniel Qualify For The Last 16, Hafiz/Serena Eliminated After Losing To The Malaysian Pair
JAKARTA - Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI)'s men's doubles, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, stepped into the last 16 of the Indonesia Open 2022 after defeating the French representatives, Fabien Delrue/William Villeger, Tuesday, June 14.
Leo/Daniel must play for 40 minutes before ending the opponent's resistance. They won two straight games 21-16 and 21-17.
In the first game, Leo/Daniel had a hard time at first. Even though they were ahead, they were also 7-9 behind.
However, after a score of 9-9, the Indonesian pair did not give their opponent a chance to catch up. Leo/Daniel have always won the points and won the first game 21-16.
In the second game, the battle is getting fiercer. Fabien/Williem were able to match Leo/Daniel's resistance. In fact, they had far ahead 12-8.
However, Leo/Daniel's mentality is more tested. They got up and equalized to 15-15. After that, the host's representative was unstoppable and closed the second game with 21-17.
Unfortunately, the steps of the Hafiz Faisal / Serena Kani pair had to be stopped in the early rounds. They lost two straight games to the Malaysian pair, Soong Joo Ven/Goh Liu Ying, in 39 minutes.
In the first game, Hafiz/Serena did appear far from expectations. As a result they gave up with a striking score of 21-13. In the second game, this new Indonesian pair had a chance to rise. Unfortunately, they finally ran aground with a score of 20-22.
