KTM Changes Its Mind On 2023 MotoGP Composition, Starting To Consider Jack Miller, Pol Espargaro And Alex Rins
JAKARTA - The factory team from Austria, KTM, has now opened the door for other riders to join the team. There are three names who reportedly have been in communication with KTM.
This was conveyed by the KTM team principal, Pit Beirer. He admitted, Suzuki Ecstar's decision to withdraw from MotoGP changed their plans for next season.
"Of course you have to change your plans and concepts now. Due to the size of the MotoGP project we are running, of course we also have a responsibility to bring home the best results," said Beirer, in an interview with Speedweek.
"After Suzuki's withdrawal, we decided we would take our time to see what happens in the rider market."

Beirer said KTM, like any other factory team, communicated with several drivers to find out what their ideas were. However, not all of those whose contracts will expire this season.
He said it was a great honor to see who would be knocking and looking to shape the future together with KTM.
"They told us why they wanted KTM. That's why we have an interesting conversation now, with Pol Espargaro, with Jack Miller and with Alex Rins," he said.
However, the KTM boss emphasized that nothing is certain. His team has not made any decisions for next season. The reason is, they want to make sure which racers really want to race with KTM.
"That's why no one is 100 per cent ready at the moment except for Brad Binder, who continues to do an amazing job for us and is an incredible fighter," he said.
"We have an open situation with respect to the driver's questions regarding the 2023 season," continued Pit Beirer.
