Barcelona Confirms Ronald Araujo Suffered A Concussion After Collapsing Against Celta Vigo, But Is Now Aware And Responding
JAKARTA - Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo collapsed in the middle of the field when his team faced Celta Vigo at the Camp Nou Stadium, Wednesday morning this morning. After receiving medical treatment, the Blaugrana confirmed the player had a concussion.
Before collapsing, Araujo clashed violently with his own partner, Gavi. After the incident, Araujo got up and ran to his position but then he collapsed and fell to the ground.
Seeing this condition, colleagues in the field immediately asked for medical assistance and Araujo was immediately taken to an ambulance to be rushed to the hospital.
After the player received treatment, Barcelona confirmed that the Uruguayan had suffered a concussion. However, soon the good news came because Araujo was aware and able to respond.
"We can rest easy. The doctors have told us that he is aware that from a severe head blow he will spend the rest of the night in the hospital, although at first we were afraid," Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez said after the match, reported by Football Espana, Wednesday.

Although his condition is improving, Araujo has not been allowed to leave the hospital in the near future. He still has to rest and undergo further examinations to confirm his condition.
Apart from this unfortunate incident, Barcelona, who appeared at home, managed to pick three points from the visitors. The Blaugrana won 3-1 with Memphis Depay's opener and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's brace followed, while Celta Vigo's only goal was scored by Aspas.
