Banten Police Record, There Are 77 Crime Cases During The 2022 Eid Homecoming
JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Grand Commissioner Shinto Silitonga, said that the crime rate in the Banten area during the Ketupat Maung 2022 operation was likely to decrease compared to 2021.
Although the crime rate can be reduced, the crime that still dominates during the homecoming flow is still related to traffic accidents.
"The highest type of crime in the Ketupat Maung 2022 operation is traffic accidents, with 18 cases," said Grand Commissioner Shinto in a statement received by VOI in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 10.
Meanwhile, data on other street crimes such as cases of human trafficking, vandalism, the ITE Law, kidnapping, severe abuse, and illegal phishing are still relatively low.
"In 2022, there were 77 crime cases. Previously in 2021, there were 133 crime cases. This crime rate is 42.1% in 2022," he said.

Grand Commissioner Shinto assessed that the Banten Police succeeded in reducing the crime rate during the Ketupat Maung 2022 operation. This was due to teamwork in the field and other relevant agencies.
"The crime rate has decreased, of course, thanks to community participation," he said.
Grand Commissioner Shinto also appreciated the community who have worked together to eradicate crime together with the police.
"The community continues to work together to protect our environment to prevent crime," he said.
