SERANG - Banten Police have carried out a series of Ketupat Maung 2022 Operation for 16 days since Friday, April 22, and the operation has been completed until Sunday, May 8 at 24.00 western Indonesia time.
Banten Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto appreciated a number of parties who have been total in providing services to the community during homecoming, return flows, and tourist destinations.

Rudy also expressed his gratitude to elements of the TNI, Regional Government, Basarnas, BPBD, toll road managers, and PHRI as well as other parties who have assisted in the implementation of humanitarian operations during the 2022 Eid holiday.

According to data, as of Sunday, May 8, there were still many people crossing from Merak Port to Sumatra, as many as 61,351 passengers and 10,639 vehicles. This figure was recorded to be almost the same as the number that came out on Saturday, May 7, which was 61,981 passengers and 11,119 vehicles.
Then, from the Cikupa toll gate, it was reported that there was an increase in the number of vehicles leaving the Cikupa GT, on Sunday, May 8, there were 58,580 vehicles, an increase of 6,741 vehicles or 12.97% compared to data on Saturday, May 7 with 51,939 vehicles.
"In the 2022 Ketupat Maung Operation period, from D-10 Lebaran on Friday (22 May) to D+6 Lebaran on Sunday (May 8) there were 1,207,534 passengers who had departed from Merak Harbor but in the same period. 1,040 have returned 899 passengers from Bakauheni Port, thus there are still 166,635 passengers or 14% who will continue to be served by the Banten Police when returning from Bakauheni Port with active police routines this week," said Rudy.
Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles that have left Merak Port during the 16-day operation period is 268,859 units but only 225,951 units returned from Bakauheni Port, so there are still 42,908 vehicles or 16% that will continue to be served by the Banten Police this week.
"The Ketupat Maung 2022 series of operations closes with the implementation of operational supervision (Wasops) from Itwasum Polri led by Brigadier General Heri Wahono and his team today, Monday, May 9," he concluded.
