Egy Maulana, Witan Sulaeman And Asnawi Mangkualam Confirmed To Be Defending The Indonesian National Team At The 2021 SEA Games
JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian National Team for the 2021 SEA Games is confirmed to feature three players who are active abroad. The three players are Egy Maulana Vikri, Witan Sulaeman (FK Senica) and Asnawi Mangkualam (Ansan Greeners).
This assurance was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), Mochamad Iriawan. He said there were still three foreign club players who were not sure.
The three players are Saddil Ramdani (Sabah FC), Pratama Arhan (Tokyo Verdy), and Elkann Baggott (Ipswich Town). "We are still in communication," said Iriawan, as quoted by Antara.
"For Saddil, we have written to the president of the FAM (Malaysian Football Association), while for Elkan and Arhan, hopefully in the near future they will be able to join the national team," he continued.

Currently, the U023 Indonesian National Team is in South Korea to undergo a training camp (TC) as part of the preparation for the 2021 SEA Games. They will be there until 28 April.
The plan is that the Garuda Muda squad will play two test matches against Pohang Steelers on April 23 and Daejeon Hana Citizen on April 27.
The coach of the U-23 Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong, has called 29 players to join the TC, including four senior players. They are Irfan Jaya (Bali United), Fachruddin Aryanto (Madura United), Ricky Kambuaya (Persib Bandung), and Marc Klok (Persib Bandung).
Shin Tae-yong then added three players from the Indonesian U-19 national team, namely Cahya Supriadi (Persija), Muhammad Ferarri (Persija), and Kakang Rudianto (Persib) to join the U-23 national team TC in South Korea.
