Russia Warns US And UK To Stop Supplying Weapons To Ukraine: Arms Cargo Becomes A Legitimate Target Of The Armed Forces

JAKARTA - Russian politicians called on the United States and Britain to stop sending arms supplies to Ukraine, as the repercussions could be far-reaching, warning of tough action that could be taken.

Senior Russian lawmakers call on the United States and Britain, to acknowledge their responsibility for the ongoing global crisis, to stop supplying weapons to Ukraine," Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the international committee of the Russian State Duma (lower house) said in a post on the Telegam channel, citing TASS April 17.

"It's high time they stopped supplying grenades to Kyiv. Because the consequences could be very sad for the whole world," he continued in writing commenting on British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's statement, if London plans to supply more weapons to Ukraine.

Slutsky further assessed, "the Western protectors of the Kyiv regime are trying to continue to use Ukraine" as a tool in the confrontation with Russia.

"Moscow has warned that an irresponsible approach to global security could have unforeseen consequences," Slutsky stressed.

"If they fail to see it, then, as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has noted, any cargo with weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for the Russian armed forces during special operations for the demilitarization of the Kyiv regime. This is what has actually happened," he stressed.
