JAKARTA – Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali praised the coaching carried out by the men's volleyball team of Bogor Lavani. The coaching was deemed necessary to be an example for other national volleyball clubs.
Bogor LavAni successfully won the 2022 Proliga title despite being a newcomer to Indonesia's highest volleyball caste. They have the right to take home the trophy after defeating Surabaya Bhayangkara Samator 3-2 (25 - 27, 25-19, 20-25, 25-18, and 15 -10) at the Padepokan Volleyball Hall of General Police Kuntoro, Sentul, Bogor, West Java, on Sunday, March 27 evening.
"This is a sign that the coaching is serious. I hope this is a good example for other clubs," Amali said in an official statement on the Kemenpora website quoted by VOI.
In his Bogor debut, LavAni was strengthened by many young players, except for names such as Doni Haryono, Dio Zulfikri, and Malizi. As for foreign players, Bogor relies on Leandro Martins (Brazil) and Jorge Gonzalez Garcia (Cuba).
Meanwhile, Surabaya Bhayangkara Samator is supported by an experienced squad this year. In addition, they fought in the final with the status of defending champions.
