Denying PDIP Party's Allegation, Deputy Governor Riza Patria Confirms Formula E Tender Auction Is In Accordance To The Rules
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, denied accusations from the PDIP Party faction of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) that the winner of the tender for the construction of the Formula E circuit had been arranged in such a way and engineered.
Riza believes that the process of procuring goods and services is carried out openly and according to regulations. Thus, he felt that there was no need for suspicion in the implementation of Formula E.
"Regarding Formula E, I think all auction processes, tenders, and so on should be in accordance with the SOP rules, the existing provisions, so we don't need to suspect anything," Riza told reporters, Friday, February 11.
Riza also believes that the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo carried out the auction process to determine PT Jaya Konstruksi as the winner of the tender for the construction of the track professionally.
"Please, friends, you can check directly and ask directly how far the process is. We believe that Jakpro is professional, is used to conducting auctions and tenders, definitely in accordance with the existing rules and regulations," said Riza.
Previously, the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD Gembong Warsono suspected that PT Jakpro had deliberately won over PT Jaya Konstruksi as the winner of the tender with an engineered process.
"Actually, this auction was arranged in such a way that it determined PT Jaya Konstruksi as the winner," said Gembong on Wednesday, February 9.

Gembong revealed the fact that PT Jaya Konstruksi had previously worked on the construction of a race track barrier or barrier.
However, this work has not been paid for by PT Jakpro as the organizer of Formula E. Therefore, Gembong suspects that Jakpro deliberately arranged for Jaya Konstruksi to become the winner of the tender because there is already a work commitment.
"There are indications that work has been carried out beforehand in the form of printing a track barrier barrier by PT Jaya Konstruksi, but PT Jakpro has not paid for it. That is the basic reason that the auction had to be canceled first, then PT Jaya Konstruksi won to continue the construction of the Formula E track," said Gembong.
