Urgent, Mrs. Maharani Ensures That The TPKS Bill Is Approved As A DPR Initiative
JAKARTA - Puan Maharani ensures that the TPKS Bill is passed as an initiative of the DPR next week. According to her, carefulness in the process of ratifying this bill is needed so that this legal product does not limit the function and dedication of women.
“How do we get out of the house in peace? We want to leave the house because we want to dedicate ourselves to our work. We want to leave the house comfortable, safe, calm, and carry out our duties as we expect”, said Puan in response to the anxiety of one of the audience participants, female comic artist Sakdiyah Ma'ruf.
In an audience forum for a number of women activists from various elements of society with the Chair of the Indonesian Parliament, Puan Maharani, at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Wednesday, January 12, the points of the female leader as a pillar of hope were conveyed by Lucky Nur Amalia, Researcher of the Center for Political Research, National Research and Innovation Agency.
“When a woman is given a safe space, women will be able to work and give their work. Female leaders are important to ensure this. Because the female leader has a friendly leadership style and is more empathetic and only woman leaders can understand women's problems and solve women's problems,” said Lucky.

A number of aspirations and pressures for the ratification of the TPKS Bill to be discussed in the priority National Legislation Program that afternoon were confirmed by the Chairman of the DPR RI as valuable inputs in carrying out the legislative function. The plan is that the DPR RI Plenary Session on January 18, 2022 will ratify the TPKS Bill as one of the 40 priority Prolegnas Bills.
Thus, the synergy between the DPR and the Government will continue after the Plenary Session is held. This process will be a new phase in the journey of the TPKS Bill that involves as many elements of society as possible. Puan Maharani wants the TPKS Bill to be a legal product that is carefully drafted so that it does not cause problems in the future.
