Mysterious Object Thought To Be An Alien By China On The Moon, It Turns Out..

JAKARTA - Late last year, a Chinese rover dubbed Yutu-2 had discovered a strange cube-shaped object on the Moon, now the robot has detected the object which turns out to be just a rock.

The strange object dubbed the "mystery house" was known to appear in the image taken by Yutu-2 in November 2021. Knowing this, the Chinese National Space Agency (CNSA) immediately deployed a rover robot to take a closer look at the object.

From the vantage point of Yutu-2 which was several hundred meters away that November, the strange object looked like a small building with a flat roof. The dark spot in the center gave him some sort of shelter.

Of course, finding something unique on the far side of the Moon will be the discovery all scientists have been waiting for. It's like something out of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

However, when it has traveled more than a thousand meters, aka 3,280 feet. As it turns out, there are no alien monoliths within the Yutu-2's visual range. After getting closer to the strange object, it turns out to be only a rock like on Earth, and the geometric appearance of the object is thanks to a combination of location, angle, and shadow.

By tricking Yutu-2 on strange objects like this, it shows how little we know about celestial bodies, as quoted from Extreme Tech, Tuesday, January 11.

Not only CNSA, NASA has previously seen strange objects in the form of formations on the surface of Planet Mars, but when the rover robot approached, it turned out to be just a strange rock that was also worthless.
