Shin Tae-yong Reveals The Secret Of The National Team's Successful Comeback Against Malaysia
JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong revealed the secret of the Garuda squad that successfully made a comeback against Malaysia in the final match of Group B of the 2020 AFF Cup.
The South Korean coach said the key to the success of his team's big win in this decisive match was communication and a calm appearance over the opponent.
"Indeed, before the game there is always a team meeting (to discuss), so I also emphasize to the players that even if they concede they must remain calm, continue to carry out the coach's instructions," said Shin Tae Yong during an online press conference after the match which was also attended by VOI.
"In addition, we also give encouragement to the players, so that they can appear and continue to be confident," added the coach.
In the prestigious match, which took place at the National Stadium, Singapore on Sunday, December 19 at night Indonesian Western Time (WIB). The national team managed to win 4-1 even though initially Malaysia scored the advantage first.

This 4-1 victory over Malaysia automatically made the national team out as winners of Group B and advanced smoothly to the 2020 AFF Cup semifinals. In the next round, the national team will face the host, Singapore, who was the first to successfully secure a ticket after winning 2-0 over Thailand.
