Sluggish In The Second Series Of League 1, Persija Will Overhaul The Team

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta plans to completely overhaul its team in the second series of the 2021 Indonesian league 1. This is inseparable from the squad's performance which is still sluggish.

The reshuffle plan actually echoed after the first round of the series was over, as stated by the president of Persija, Mohamad Prapanca. He said, since the beginning, the management has always evaluated the performance of each player.

"We will evaluate when the first round is over, any player who does not show their performance or achieve the expectations desired by the coaching team and management, we will definitely evaluate it", said Mohamad Prapanca, quoted by VOI from the club's official website.

"Without exception, both foreign and local. We are ready to make changes in the second round", he continued.

Previously, it was known that the appearance of the Kemayoran Tigers in the 2021 Indonesian League 1 was indeed not as smooth as in the first series. In the second series, Marko Simic cs even got two defeats from four matches, whereas previously they had successfully grabbed points without being defeated.

Because of this nick, Angelo Alessio's squad is stuck in the eighth position in the standings. Management realizes that this is still far from satisfactory and they will encourage the team to be more consistent on the winning path.

Apart from the focus of management and coaches who want to change the composition of the team in the second round, there are more important things that must be pursued. It is building and motivating existing players to perform at their best level.
