JAKARTA - Netflix officially launched a sci-fi series entitled 3 Body Problems. This series is David Benioff and DB Weiss' latest work previously working on Game of Thrones. They are working with Alexander Woo.

3 Body Problems are an adaptation of the science fiction book trilogy of the same name by Liu Cixin. Through several adaptations, the 3 Body Problem series will capture problems that occur in the world from a new perspective.

We liked the same thing about books like any other fan. We did everything to bring this story to the real world in the best way possible," said DB Weiss quoting Tudum.

3 Body Problems tells of a woman, young Ye Wenjie (Zine Tseng) watching her father die cruelly during the Chinese Cultural Revolution.

Then, he was required to undergo the military because of his background. Ye Wenjie was apparently sent to a secret radar base in a remote area.

Set in the 1960s, Ye Wenjie made a big decision to explore space and time that penetrated to this day.

Over time, a series of mysterious deaths began to occur in various parts of the world. Scientists are conducting an investigation behind this phenomenon to deal with world-changing threats.

3 Body Problems present a series of actors and actresses namely Jovan Adepo, John Bradley,lind Chao, Liam Cunningham, Eiza Gonzrtolez, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, Benedict Wong, and Jonathan totaling.

Directed by Derek Tsang, this series is expected to present stories to global audiences and not only focus on one country.

"This novel is written in Mandarin, and most of the pages contain Chinese characters," said Derek Tsang.

"It makes sense because we adapt this story to global viewers, we expand its scope and have more characters from around the world. Cixin's author Liu gave us his blessing, and in my opinion David, Dan, and Alex have done a good job of maintaining the best elements of this novel while making it a more global and international story," he continued.

3 Body Problems have 8 episodes and can be watched via Netflix.
