JAKARTA - The Artemis program, landing astronauts on the Moon, has received a good response from the Netherlands. The country  decided to support the running of the Artemis program.

Reported by the United States Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), several parties and representatives from the Netherlands met at the Dutch Ambassador's Residence in Washington yesterday.

During this meeting, NASA and the Netherlands officially established cooperation by signing the Artemis Agreement. The parties to the agreement were NASA Administrator, Bill Nelson, and Director of the Dutch Space Office (NSO) Harm van de Wetering.

With the Netherlands joining the Artemis Treaty, the number of countries and space agencies supporting the Artemis program is increasing. The Netherlands  has become the 31st member to join the agreement.

"As one of America's oldest allies, NASA is proud to expand our partnership with the Netherlands and build a future defined by limitless opportunity and discovery," Nelson said in an official release.

Before the Netherlands, NASA also met with representatives from Iceland to join the Artemis Accords. The signing of this collaboration was carried out last October.

Although many parties have joined and supported the Artemis program, NASA is expected to welcome more partners in the coming months. They need to find more partners to make the Artemis program a success.

NASA also stated that working with new partners was important. Apart from increasing energy, NASA wants the whole world to benefit from the exploration and discovery of their program.
