Google Cloud Introduces New AI Search Vertex Features For Health Services

JAKARTA - Google Cloud introduced a new Vertex AI Search feature for healthcare and biodiversity companies to help users find relevant information on a wider spectrum of data types.

With these new features, healthcare organizations will have Google-quality AI gene searches set medically, allowing users to find much more accurate and more efficient clinical information.

In addition, this feature also allows users to search for broad data spectra from clinical sources, such as FHIR data, and clinical records, and medical data in electronic health records (EHR).

"This builds on the current capabilities of Vertex AI Search to search for documents, external websites, and other data sources," said Ashima Gupta Global Director, Healthcare Strategy & Solutions, and Lisa O' Juli, Senior Director, Product Management, Cloud AI in its blog.

Vertex AI Search for health science and life is integrated with Google Cloud Healthcare API and Healthcare Data Engine, and also Google Health searches.

Google Cloud's subscriptions and partners can now register for initial access to the Vertex AI Search feature for health and life sciences, the company added.

Like all other Google Cloud products, customers remain in control of their data. In health service settings, access and use of protected patient data through the application of reliable Google Cloud infrastructure.

In addition, the Search for Vertex AI, Health Data Machine, and Health API also support compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
