SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Will Launch 21 Starlink Satellites On September 25

JAKARTA - SpaceX, Elon Musk's rocket production and launch company, will launch the Falcon 9 rocket again on September 25 at 3.23 EDT or 14.23 p.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

The plan is that the Falcon 9 will launch carrying 21 Starlink satellites into orbit. The Falcon 9 will lift off at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Florida.

SpaceX will broadcast their rocket launch via the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, live. This live broadcast will start approximately five minutes before takeoff takes place.

Quoted from Space, Falcon 9 will return to earth and land on the SpaceX drone ship in the sea about 8.5 minutes after launch. However, the Falcon 9's return to the drone ship could happen if the takeoff goes as planned.

Meanwhile, 21 satellites carried by Falcon 9 will be deployed to low earth orbit (LEO). This launch will increase the number of Starlink already in LEO, namely around 4,750 satellites.

The number of satellites will continue to increase because SpaceX is determined to build the Starlink megaconstellation. So far SpaceX is permitted to launch 12,000 satellites, but SpaceX is applying for permission to add up to 30,000 satellites.

Previously, Falcon 9 was launched carrying 22 satellites to LEO on Tuesday, September 20. Falcon 9 lifts off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.

With the launch on September 20, SpaceX has carried out 17 rocket takeoffs and landings for the first stage of the Falcon 9. This number beats the two Falcon 9 boosters which only reached 16.
