Korea Masters 2023: Qualifying For The Second Round, Adnan/Nita Waiting For The First Seed

JAKARTA Adnan Maulana/Nita Violina Marwah beat Wei Chun Wei/Nicole Gonzales Chan to secure tickets to the second round of the Korea Masters 2023.

Adnan/Nita followed two previous Indonesian representatives after winning two straight games 21-19 and 21-19 at the Gwangju Women's University Stadium, Korea, Wednesday, November 8, 2023 morning WIB.

After the match, Adnan admitted that he was not very satisfied with their performance, they were able to overcome the first challenge.

"My adaptation to the conditions of the match was not good enough today. My punch was a lot, it didn't fit. I have to finish this again in the next match," he said.

"Our preparation has been good for this tournament, there are approximately two months. Now it's just a matter of how to get the results of the training here," he added.

In the second round, Adnan/Nita will face tougher challenges. The reason is, they will meet the first seed, Seo Seung Jae/Chae Yu Jung.

The host pair qualified for the second half after defeating fellow Korean representatives Choi Hyun Beom/Yoon Min Ah.

"Tomorrow we meet the first seed Seo Seung Jae/Chae Yu Jung So, we have to play more without a burden. We have to take out what we can," said Nita.

Adnan/Nita are the third representatives of Indonesia to qualify for the second round of this Super 300 BWF level event.

Two tickets before they were secured by the men's doubles pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Rahmat Hidayat and the sole son, Shesar Hiren Rhustavito.
