French Open 2023 Results: Malaysian Doubles WO, Leo/Daniel Reach Round Of 16 Without Sweat

JAKARTA - Indonesian men's doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin managed to qualify for the round of 16 of the French Open 2023. They won a ticket to the next round without getting much sweat because the opponent decided to walk over (WO).

Leo/Daniel are scheduled to face Malaysian star Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik. The second match was supposed to be held at the Glaz Arena on Wednesday, October 25 at 10:00 local time or 15.00 WIB.

However, before the match was held, the Malaysian men's doubles decided to withdraw. The decision was taken quickly because Soh Wooi Yik was injured.

Leo/Daniel were finally declared to have won WO over the Malaysian pair. Leo/Daniel qualified for the last 16 of the French Open 2023 without any significant effort.

The withdrawal of the Malaysian champion made Leo/Daniel have passed one tough obstacle. Because Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Sik is a star player who is the fifth seed at the French Open.

After traveling smoothly to the round of 16 of the French Open 2023, Leo/Daniel will face the Chinese pair He Jiting/Ren Xiangyu on Thursday, October 26.

He Jiting/Ren Xiangyu managed to advance to the round of 16 after winning over Taiwanese men's doubles Lee Jhe Huei/Yang Po Hsuan through two straight games 21-14, 21-14.
