Departing Tonight, Ramadan Sananta And Beckham Putra Join The U-24 Indonesian National Team

JAKARTA - Ramadan Sananta and Beckham Putra will certainly join the squad of the U-24 Indonesian national team who qualified for the round of 16 of the 2023 Asian Games. The two of them will depart and follow to Hangzhou, China on Monday, September 25 evening WIB.

The news of the joining of Sananta and Beckham with colleagues who first fought in China was confirmed by Sumardji. The chairman of the National Team Agency (BTN) will also go with Sananta and Beckham.

"They (Ramadhan Sananta and Beckham Putra) are really going to join. Later I will go with the children tonight," Sumardji said in his statement Monday, September 25.

Before being confirmed, the news that Sananta and Beckham will join the U-24 national team at the 2023 Asian Games was first revealed by the coach, Indra Sjafri.

The 60-year-old coach plans to call Sananta and Beckham if his team passes the round of 16. Certainty of qualifying was then achieved by the U-24 national team on Sunday 24 September and the coach's plan could be realized.

"What will I do later after knowing whether we will continue (the last 16 of the 2023 Asian Games)? I will discuss with the coaching team. Will I call the players to fill the remaining two slots of players who have not been present, we will discuss them," said Indra Sjafri after the match against North Korea.

Sananta and Beckham are actually included in the squad of the U-24 national team at the 2023 Asian Games. However, both of them did not go to China because of different problems.

Sananta failed to join the team's flight after Persis Solo in the last moments decided not to release the 20-year-old striker due to the attacking crisis in Liga 1. Beckham was not in the group because he had not yet recovered from injury.
