Undergoing Operations After The Catalunya MotoGP, Enea Bastianini Gives A Touching Message: See You Soon

JAKARTA - Ducati Lenovo racer, Enea Bastianini, is certain to be sidelined for a long time to undergo surgery due to an accident at the Barcelona MotoGP, last weekend.

In the 12th MotoGP 2023 series at the Catalunya Circuit, the competition took place dramatically by involving a number of accidents. Bastianini became one of the victims of the race which was held on Sunday, September 3.

The incident began with a consecutive collision that occurred at the first corner and involved five riders. The accident began when Enea Bastianini fell after eating the first corner.

The motorbike that Bastianini was riding then hit a number of other riders who then fell because they could not maintain the balance of their motorbikes. The four riders who fell were Marco Bezzecchi, Johann Zarco, Fabio Di Giannantonio, and Alex Marquez.

As a result of the accident at the Catalunya MotoGP, Ducati confirmed that Enea Bastianini had to undergo surgery on her ankle and arms in Italy.

"Enea Bastianini suffered a broken leg of a left ankle medial mallolelus but did not shift and a subcapital fracture in the second metakarpal in her left hand. Her hands and ankles have been wrapped so she can travel to Italy tonight," Ducati wrote on their social media account, Monday 4 September.

"Bastianini will undergo surgery on her ankle to speed up her recovery. She will also undergo surgery on her hands in the following days," the team added.

Bastianini was confirmed to be sidelined after carrying out surgery to undergo recovery. This moment then made the rider feel the tough days after that.

The reason is, he had to pull over while struggling to return to performing brilliantly with Ducati.

"It's not easy, not at all when you think you've reached your lowest point and it's not like that," Bastianini was quoted as saying by her Instagram Story.

"At that time you were desperate and started thinking about wanting to come back to change things but in reality you can only move forward, so you know what I'm saying? Unfortunately I have to leave! See you later," Bastianini said.

Apart from Bastianini, Francesco Bagnaia was also a victim whose condition was worrying. The rider's feet were run over by Brad Binder who accidentally passed by.

Luckily Bagnaia is now in better condition and has not suffered a serious injury.
