Investigating Allegations Of Corruption At UNS, Central Java Prosecutor's Office Has Examined 46 Witnesses

JATENG - The alleged corruption case at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta continues to be investigated by the Central Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati). A total of 46 witnesses have so far been examined.

"A total of 46 witnesses, including the chancellor, lecturers, teaching staff, and the private sector," said Head of the Legal Information Section of the Central Java Attorney General's Office, Arfan Triono, in Semarang, Wednesday, November 1, as reported by Antara.

Untuk Rektor UNS Jamal Wiwoho, kata dia, sudah tiga kali dilakukan pemeriksaan.

"The examination was carried out at the Surakarta Kejari Office," he said.

He added that currently investigators are still waiting for the results of an audit from the Central Java Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).

"We have coordinated with BPKP, we are still waiting for the results of the audit," he said.

Previously, former leader of MWA UNS Surakarta Hasan Fauzi submitted evidence of alleged fraud or corruption on campus to the Mayor of Surakarta.

The details of the alleged corruption amounted to Rp34.6 billion.

The budget is referred to as a submission that was not approved by MWA, but is still run on campuses.

The alleged use that is not in accordance with its designation is suspected to occur in the period 2022 to 2023.
