BANYUMAS - The Banyumas Regency Government, Central Java, has temporarily closed all tourist attractions that have glass bridge rides after the incident of the death of a tourist at the Geong tourist attraction due to broken bridge glass. "We close until a certificate is issued like a function. So, before this certificate is issued, everything cannot be used," said Banyumas Regent Hanung Cahyo Saputro in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 26. As many as four tourists who were in The Geong fell after stepping on the glass sheet until it broke. Of the four victims, two of them had fallen on the bridge frame and two others fell down. According to Hanung, the Banyumas Regency Government will make a circular and collect all tourist ride managers, Tuesday, October 31 for a re-assessment of high-risk tourist attractions, facilitated by the Civil Service Police Unit, public work offices, and local district regional apparatus organizations. According to him, the victim is still waiting for the results of the computer tomography (CT) scan, so action cannot be taken. "But, his condition is good, conscious, and can speak. In fact, he can tell the story of the demand starting how he walked until he fell, but tells the time of his fall, he doesn't remember, and only realized after he arrived at the hospital," said Hanung. He also expressed his condolences to a victim who died as a result of the incident. The break-up of The Geong's glass bridge in the Pinus Limpakawus Forest tourist area occurred on Wednesday (25/10), at around 10.00 WIB. The incident occurred when 11 tourists from Cilacap were trying out the glass bridge.

When some tourists were at one of the 10 meters high glass bridge points, suddenly the glass they stepped on broke. As a result, four people fell, of which two fell to the ground and two others were hanging on the bridge frame. A tourist with the initials FA (49) was declared dead after the fall, while AI victim (41) was injured. Meanwhile, the victims who were hanging on the bridge frame were WA (39) and SSP (45).
