KPU Opens Voice About Anies-Cak Imin Registration Claims Meeting The Requirements

Commissioner of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Idham Holik responded to the claim that the prospective presidential-vice presidential candidate Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin had met the requirements.

Idham explained that the registration documents for Anies and Cak Imin carried out by the New Amendment Coalition party were declared complete.

"Documen persyaratan pendaftar bakal paslon capres-cawapres Anies-Muhaimin yang didaftarkan oleh gabungan parpol NasDem, PKB, dan PKS sudah lengkap," kata Idham kepada wartawan, Kamis, 19 Oktober.

However, it should be determined whether or not the candidate pair for presidential and vice-presidential candidates should meet the requirements after the administrative verification of their requirements.

"The provisions for accepting registration for candidate pairs for presidential and vice-presidential candidates are complete or incomplete. After being declared complete, it will be continued with the stages of health checks and administrative verification," explained Idham.

Today, Anies and Cak Imin officially register as pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the 2024 General Election. After the presidential and vice-presidential candidate registration documents are submitted, the KPU will check the completeness and verification of the files. The stage of verification of the requirements for presidential and vice-presidential candidates is carried out until November 13, 2023.

Furthermore, the KPU will determine the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs who have registered on November 13, 2023, followed by the determination of the candidate pair serial number on November 14, 2023.

Shortly after submitting the registration document, Cak Imin claimed their files had been declared eligible.

"There are letters that we have proven that all the completeness and conditions needed have been fulfilled and we have received all the receipts today," said Cak Imin accompanied by Anies Baswedan at the KPU, Thursday, October 19.

"This is proof that we have submitted all the completeness and everything with applicable rules according to the rules. And it has been declared MS or met the requirements," continued Cak Imin.
