JAKARTA - The National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA) said that the mother who threw her baby 4 months into a bucket filled with water in South Jakarta was suspected of experiencing depression and hallucinations. This he said after seeing the mother's behavior firsthand.

"Indeed, from the initial assessment, this mother has been identified as depressed. So it's not a baby blues anymore. Indeed, the level is already above the baby blues again, leading to depression and hallucinations," said Acting Chairman of Komnas PA, Lia Latifah when confirmed, Wednesday, October 18.

On that basis, his party provides assistance to mothers and children so that similar incidents do not occur.

"Yesterday we gave the recommendations. His mother must have psychological assistance and a psychiatrist about how this mother in her psyche must be examined," he said.

Regarding the children of L's mother, who is currently under five years old, is under the supervision of her husband through Persit (Union of TNI Wife). Her children were handed over to the Army Wives Association (Persit).

Nevertheless, he also offered that if he needed help for a SAFE house, his party would also provide it.

"We suggested yesterday to be entrusted to Handayani's safe house. But yesterday (the husband said) ma'am's permission later if, for example, a follow-up for these children, the house is safe. Later they will coordinate with the National Commission for child protection," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that the Acting Chairman of the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA), Lia Latifah, said that the children of the mother who had the heart to throw their babies into a bucket filled with water had been handed over to her father, who was a member of the TNI.

He added that his father had collaborated with the Army Wives Association (Persit) in his unit to raise their children.
