Ganjar Pranowo Remembers The Figure Of Gembong Warsono, Militant Cadres, Simple And Populist

JAKARTA - The 2024 presidential reading, Ganjar Pranowo, visited the funeral home of the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, evening October 14. He expressed his deep sorrow for the departure of Gembong to his wife and children.

Returning from his visit to East Java, Ganjar went straight to the funeral home on Jl, East Legacy, Kebayoran Lama Utara Village, South Jakarta. He was greeted by Gembong's wife and his four children, family and the surrounding community.

Ganjar then chatted with his family at home. Gembong's wife, Asih Purwanti, told the chronology of Gembong's death to Ganjar.

"It doesn't hurt, sir, that night after shaving, he kept chatting with the residents. Returned home complaining that his body was cold. He said he was in the wind asking to get drunk. But after that, he had a seizure and was weak. He was immediately rushed to the hospital," explained Asih, crying.

Ganjar Pranowo tried to calm Asih and her children. He asked the family to be patient and steadfast and let go of Gembong.

"Yes, of course we are sad to hear the news that Mas Gembong died. Mas Gembong is an old PDIP cadre, his son is persistent and two periods are members of the council, in Jakarta again, his house is in the alley. Mas Gembong is really a militant cadre, simple and very close to the people," said Ganjar.

Ganjar recalled his relationship with Gembong Warsono who was very close. A few weeks ago, he was invited by Gembong to attend a puppet.

"That's why I was surprised when I was told that Mas Gembong had died. It turned out that after the recess, his activities were congested and had a heart attack. My friend never got tired of carrying out his duties as a representative of the people," he explained.

He prayed that Gembong would be accepted by Him and forgiven for all his sins. He also asked his family to be patient and continue his father's struggle.

"I chatted with his children, it seems that he already has a political talent like his father. I ordered earlier, study and continue the struggle of your father. Some go to political school and follow his father's struggle. Mas Gembong is a great boy, we mourn his passing," he concluded.

As previously reported, the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono, died, Saturday (14/10). Gembong died at the Pertamina Hospital hospital due to a heart attack.

During his tenure as Chair of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono was well known in criticizing the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in the Anies Baswedan era. He often criticizes Anies regarding the handling of Jakarta floods. He also proposed an investigation into alleged irregularities in the use of the state budget for Formula E and the construction of JIS Stasion.
