The Trial Of The Central Maluku BOS Fund Corruption Case And The Fictitious SPPD Of The Tanimbar Islands Will Be Held Next Thursday

MALUKU - Ambon District Court (PN) handled 41 corruption cases in the last 10 months or since January 2023. Of these, 17 cases have been resolved and 24 other cases are still in the trial process.

A spokesman for the Ambon District Court, Rahmat Selang, noted that 12 corruption cases had just been transferred to the Ambon District Court earlier this week. The rioting case came from Tanimbar Islands Regency, Aru Islands Regency, and Central Maluku Regency.

"For corruption cases that have just entered, such as from the Tanimbar Islands Regency, Aru Islands, and Central Maluku, the panel of judges and their trial schedule have been determined," said Rahmat in Ambon, Maluku, Thursday, October 5, which was confiscated by Antara.

For example, for the alleged corruption case of BOS funds in Central Maluku Regency, the trial is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 12 next week. On the same day, the trial of alleged corruption in the official travel budget or fictitious SPPD of Tanimbar Islands Regency will also be held.

The two trials were handled by a panel of judges chaired by Haris Tewa, who is also Deputy Chair of the Ambon District Court.

"During the handling of cases of alleged corruption in court, it was revealed that this corruption crime was triggered by three main things, namely a fictitious project, inflating the project budget (mark up) and no accountability reports," he said.
