Schools Will Be Examined Regarding Expired APARs Used To Put Out Fire At SMAN 6 Kebayoran Baru

JAKARTA - Revealing the death of Cecep, school security at SMUN 6, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, the police will conduct an examination of the school.

The examination of the school is also related to simple fire extinguishers (APAR) which are known to have expired.

"Yes, definitely (the school is being questioned)," said Kebayoran Baru Police Chief, Commissioner Tribuana Roseno when confirmed, Friday, September 29.

Tribuana said that the APAR that was suspected to be the cause of the death of school security was not an intentional factor.

"If we look at it from here, there is no intentional element either, indeed because of a disaster. We must be able to distinguish it too. The fire was indeed due to the initial short circuit. Because of the three people who were in peace, the two were okay," he said.

In addition, Tribuana will also submit an autopsy to the victim to determine the exact cause of death of the victim.

"We also want to do an autopsy first, we will submit it to his family. Later maybe from that result we can only conclude for what reason, is it possible that the victim has asthma or something like that," he concluded.

A security guard at SMAN 6, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta reportedly died in an electrical panel fire in the school. The victim, Cecep, died of inhaling thick smoke while extinguishing the fire.

South Jakarta Gulkarmat Piket Officer, Suhardi said the incident occurred on Friday, September 29, at 08.56 WIB.

The police said that Cecep died from inhaling carbon from the fire-sprayed APAR to extinguish the fire.
