Two Menteng Residents Attacked By A Sharp Armed Youth Gang, Perpetrators Allegedly Still Underage

JAKARTA - Abdul Rahman and Deka Widi Laksono, two Menteng residents, Central Jakarta, were victims of beatings on Jalan Anyer Ujung, behind SMP 8. Both suffered stab wounds all over their bodies.

Witness Fiki Wijaya (30), a resident of RT 5/09 Jalan Anyer, said that at that time he was inside the house. Then there was his friend named Deka Widi Laksono who reported that he was stabbed behind SMP 8.

"Knowing that there was news, my friends and I came to the location. Then when we met we were immediately attacked, where they were carrying sharp weapons (sajam) like sickles," he told reporters, Friday, September 29.

Fiki explained that he had run away when he met a group of teenagers who were estimated to be under the age of 17. He was also almost stabbed by the teenager.

"I was not stabbed because my brother came and immediately pushed the perpetrator who brought the knife. Some of the information was already arrested and now at the Menteng Metro Police," he said.

In the same place, Abdul Rahman, Fika's older brother, added that he received a number of stab wounds and blunt objects. At that time, he who saw his sister almost got stabbed, he immediately approached and pushed the teenager who was about to slash.

"When I pushed, my sister managed to escape. When I was about to run away, but I fell and fell. When I fell, I fell on the golf club until my four teeth fell out," he said.

Abdul said he suffered injuries to his head as a result of being hacked and received 10 stitches. Then on the lower right leg he got five stitches.

"My opponent was also hit by a knife but not torn, only abrasions," he said.

The incident has also been reported to the Menteng Metro Police. The victim has also conducted a post-mortem at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM).
