Knock! Commission III Of The House Of Representatives Approves PPP Politician Arsul Sani To Be A Constitutional Court Judge To Replace Wahiduddin Adams

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR approved Arsul Sani as a candidate for judges of the Constitutional Court (MK) after undergoing a fit and proper test today.

The approval was taken after Commission III of the DPR underwent a plenary meeting.

Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Adies Kadir, said that all factions in the DPR unanimously approved the name Arsul Sani to replace the previous Constitutional Court judge, Wahiduddin Adams.

"Of the nine factions, all proposed Mr. Arsul Sani. Therefore, Commission III decided that the candidate proposed by the DPR to become a constitutional judge to replace Mr. Wahiduddin Adams was Mr. Arsul Sani," said Adies in the House of Representatives Commission III room, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 26.

After it was agreed that Commission III of the DPR would become a candidate for the elected Constitutional Court judge, Arsul's name would then be brought to the DPR plenary meeting for approval. After that, Arsul's name will be handed over to President Jokowi to be sworn in as a judge of the Constitutional Court.

As is known, Commission III held a fit and proper test of 7 candidates for constitutional judges for two days on September 25-26.

Arsul then'set aside' other prospective judges who had taken the fit and proper test, namely Reny Halida Ilham Malik, Firdaus Dewilmar, Elita Rahmi, Aidul Fitriciada Azhari, Abdul Latif, and Haridi Hasan.
