YOGYAKARTA Recently, there have been rumors about the difference in Transjakarta rates for DKI and Outside Jakarta ID cards.

The account X @tmihariini said that the Transjakarta bus fares for residents of DKI Jakarta and non-Jakarta will be different due to the implementation of the Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) system.

"Transjakarta bus rates will change. Transjakarta plans to implement an Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) system where the tariff is determined to be the target of economic status and passenger domicile ID cards. The rates for residents of DKI Jakarta and non-Jakarta will be different," he wrote, Friday, September 22, 2023, quoted by VOI.

If this system is applied to Transjakarta transportation modes, then ticket rates will be adjusted to economic status and domicile ID cards.

In this regard, the Head of the Public Relations and CSR Department of PT Transjakarta Wibowo on Monday, September 25, 2023, said that the plan to implement the Account-Based Ticketing system still needs to be studied further and cannot be implemented.

"Meanwhile, regulations based on economic status and ID cards have not been applied. Of course, studies are needed in implementing them in the program," said Wibowo.

He stated that the decision to implement the ABT system on Transjakarta tickets whose rates vary based on the classification of economic status and Jakarta or outside Jakarta ID cards is the authority of the DKI Provincial Government.

"The Transjakarta tariff is still IDR 3,500. The tariff change is under the authority of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," said Wibowo.

Previously, the Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the ABT system would be implemented through the Jaklingko application. Syafrin admitted that this account-based ticket purchase feature had been tested internally. The implementation had experienced problems, but improvements had been made.

"So last week, we did a trial. Indeed yesterday when we tested some technical problems that were minor and had been affected by Jaklingko Indonesia's friends," Syafrin told reporters, Friday, September 15.

Syafrin said, one of the objectives of the implementation of ABT is to streamline the subsidies provided by the DKI Provincial Government. Later, the DKI Provincial Government will provide subsidies according to the big data collected.

"From this ABT, we get the profiling of all of our mass transportation users, whether it's Transjakarta, MRT, and LRT, which is then the basis for calculations for the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of PSO (subsidies) in the future," he said.
